Procurement Analyst

The Sourcing Operations function is key within the organisation’s structure as it is the core of the business in our Company. Well drafted and robust contracts are created as part of our sourcing activity. We are looking for the right individual to help us lead and coordinate the correct fulfilment and execution of all the contracts we generate as a function.

The difference you’ll make.
· A recognized Procurement Lead for IT Software with broad experience of different types of procurement and procurement approaches: tactical, strategic, complex, high-volume, high-risk, “Route to Savings/Contract”, “Buying Channels” and/or “Source to Contract/Pay”.
· Basic Category Management competency would be an advantage, being able to support the Category Manager with market/supplier intelligence and spend analysis to create category plans for IT sub-categories (Software, Hardware, Networks, Infrastructure, Telecoms, IT Services).
· Be a key driver for the Senior Buyer: executing procurements and delivering against a plan of activity.
· A skilled multi-tasker, being able to handle 10-15 workstreams (monthly average), with a 25/75 mix of strategic (low volume, high risk/complexity, longer duration) and tactical (high volume, low risk, short duration) utilising systems, office tools and communication to maximise efficiency.
· Self-assured, self-sufficient, inquisitive – not afraid to ask questions or for help, using available resources to ensure delivery to time and quality. Continually looking to learn.
· Good ability in procurement documentation: drafting and issuing RFX documentation, bid analysis, negotiating contractual and commercial terms and preparing approval recommendations.
· Proficient in procurement process: identifying/anticipating risks, planning/organisation, effective use of escalation.
· Procurement system/process adherence, showing diligence, accuracy and attention-to-detail, with good comprehension of how data quality affects

MI/Reporting.
· Increase commercial maturity within the organisation through education and
coaching; supporting the client with the review and definition of RFP
specifications, evaluation and scoring, transparency and fairness, bid/supplier
recommendations which deliver best value and savings.
· Good Stakeholder and Supplier Relationship Management (SRM), building
credibility and trust. An good team worker.
· Efficient and effective comms: keeping stakeholders well-informed of process
and progress, as well as encouraging actions are completed without delay.
· Ensuring compliance with the defined organisation’s policies, processes and
procedures.
· Demonstrating initiative would be an advantage: continuous improvement
(contracts, process, systems, planning), learning, training, problem-solving.

What you’ll bring:
· Business-related degree or equivalent (>6Y procurement experience).
· At least 4Y (ideally 5Y+) experience in IT Software category (experience in
other IT sub-categories will be considered an advantage), with at least 6Y
experience in procurement.
· CIPS qualified or in-training.
· Demonstrably good ability in procurement, procurement
strategy/methodology with a broad experience across different procurement
types.
· Good ability in procurement operations and processes (systems,
procedures/regulations, third parties, governance, legal etc.), showing a track
record of success.
· Experience of procurement systems; Globality, SAP and Ariba will be
considered advantageous.
· Ability to work well in a high volume, fast-paced environment.
· Very good organisational skills; can manage multiple & competing priorities
while achieving results.
· Very good verbal and written communication skills.
· Very good interpersonal skills, ability to interact effectively with all in a large
corporate environment.
· Evidence of being proactive and/or working on their own initiative.
· English level (written and oral) must be fluent. Fluency in Spanish will be
considered an advantage.
· Eligible to live and work in the UK.

What else you need to know.
This role is currently home-based with occasional travel to Client office in Milton Keynes or London. In the future this may change to hybrid, however this will be discussed with the employee before a final decision is made.
